Imphal, Dec. 20 -- Manipur Police and security forces arrested a militant, apprehended three women drug peddlers, and destroyed a large poppy plantation during separate operations, officials said.
Police stated that an active cadre of a militant outfit was arrested from Imphal West district on Friday.
In another operation, security forces arrested three drug peddlers, all residents of Khergao Yum-khaibam Leikai under Porompat police station in Imphal East district, from their locality. A large quantity of heroin powder and other prohibited items were recovered from their possession.
