Los Angeles, Jan. 4 -- More than fifty years after Stephen King's "Carrie" first unsettled readers, filmmaker Mike Flanagan has articulated the creative reasoning that led him to re-engage with one of modern horror's most exhaustively adapted texts, despite a personal rule against sequels and remakes.
Flanagan, whose eight-episode "Carrie" limited series for Amazon wrapped production in October, said the project emerged from a creative angle that felt both urgent and unexplored, reports DEADLINE.
