Bhubaneswar, Dec. 20 -- Migration in Odisha is no longer confined to being a labour-market phenomenon; it is increasingly shaping social development, wellbeing, and regional growth, according to a study conducted by the Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies (NCDS), Bhubaneswar.

Addressing a one-day seminar on "Regional Differences in Migration Pattern, Adaptation Behaviour and Wellbeing in Odisha", NCDS Director Prakash Chandra Mohanty cited findings from a survey of over 650 households.

He said the study examines regional variations in migration patterns, adaptation strategies, and wellbeing outcomes.
