Palakkad, Aug. 30 -- A 53-year-old migrant labourer from West Bengal was electrocuted today after accidently coming into contact with an electric trap illegally set up to catch wild boar at Karalmanna near Cherpulassery.
According to police, the deceased was identifed as Ranjith Pramanik (53) of West Bengal.
His dead body was found in the morning by local residents in a plantain field.
The electric trap had been installed by the farmer on the fencing of the estate to prevent wild boar from damaging the crops.
