New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- Microsoft has cautioned Azure users of possible disruptions as increased latency was observed, particularly for internet traffic moving through Asia and Europe.

The company confirmed that the issue is linked to cuts in critical undersea fiber cables in the Red Sea.

The Red Sea, one of the world's most vital internet arteries, carries a significant share of global data traffic. Any damage to subsea cables in this region can lead to widespread slowdowns across multiple services.
