New Delhi, July 3 -- In a major push towards work automation with AI, or artificial intelligence, Microsoft again made a major layoff after its initial announcement in May this year.

At this time, the technology major is cutting approximately 9,000 jobs compared to the last one, which has affected almost 6,000 employees.

Various reports indicated that the current layoff is going to impact almost 4% of the employee base, including multiple teams and individuals working at different levels and positions.
