MI, SRH pay tribute to Pahalgam attack victims
Hyderabad, April 23 -- A solemn tribute marked the start of Match 41 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday, as players of Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, along with match officials, observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the recent terrorist attack at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
Both teams assembled before the start of play at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, standing shoulder to shoulder in a show of solidarity with the bereaved families. As a mark of protest and respect, all players and umpires sported black armbands. The match was conducted without the usual celebratory elements such as cheerleaders and fireworks.
