Shillong, Jan. 7 -- The Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has sought a detailed report from the State government on the reported death of two coal miners in an explosion in East Jaintia Hills district.
Taking suo moto cognizance of new reports, MHRC Secretary, Levenstone Ch. Marak today issued a notice to the Chief Secretary Dr. Shakil P. Ahammed, to cause an effective enquiry and to submit a detailed inquiry report to the Commission in one month's time.
