Agartala, Feb. 19 -- Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday sanctioned
Rs 288.93 crore for Tripura and Rs 170.99 crore for Nagaland under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) along with three other disaster-hit states of the country, highly placed sources in the state government said here on Wednesday.
The central government has approved additional central assistance of Rs 1554.99 crore to natural disaster-affected Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Odisha, Telangana, and Tripura under the NDR fund. All those states had faced several natural calamities last year and demanded separate funds from the centre.
