Mexico City, June 19 -- Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Wednesday she had spoken with U.S. President Donald Trump and proposed a broad agreement encompassing security, immigration and trade.

Speaking at her daily press conference at the National Palace, Sheinbaum said the conversation took place Tuesday, after Trump cut short his attendance at the G7 Summit in Canada due to the Middle East crisis.

Given the size of the Mexican community in the United States, Sheinbaum emphasized the need for a formal and comprehensive framework for bilateral cooperation.
