Mexico City, Aug. 13 -- Mexican security forces have handed two dozen high-ranking cartel figures to the United States, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Omar Hamid Garcia Harfuch said.
The action by Mexico against criminal organisations come as a result of major deal with the Trump administration as President Donald Trump ratchet up pressure on Mexico to dismantle the country's powerful drug organisations.
"Today, the Mexican Security Cabinet, in bilateral coordination and with full respect for our sovereignty, transferred 26 individuals linked to criminal organizations that posed a risk to Mexico's security to the United States," Harfuch said on social media.
