Mexico City, March 26 -- Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Tuesday that she will discuss with visiting US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem bilateral cooperation on security issues on Friday.
"It's a meeting on coordination," the president said during her regular morning press conference, adding that the secretary will be received around 1:00 pm (1900 GMT).
Several Mexican ministers are also expected to attend the meeting, including Interior Minister Rosa Icela Rodriguez, Security Minister Omar Garcia Harfuch and Foreign Affairs Minister Juan Ramon de la Fuente.
"It's not that we're going to give her a report, but it is important for her to know the results of the security cabinet," Sheinbaum said.
