Ottawa, April 29 -- Musical maestro Devin Townsend has announced a break from touring, after the Canadian guitarist-vocalist finishes his North American Tour, making it clear that he'll be absent from the stage "for the foreseeable future".

The metal veteran, known for his work in the extreme metal scene with the iconic group -Strapping Young Lad - and a highly successful solo career in the progressive metal world, broke the news on his YouTube channel, in a video titled 'Going on a loooooong vacation'. The singer announced his fatigue from touring, thanked his audience, and said that the tour "will be the last you see of me, for quite some time."
