Meta announces its stake in Ray Ban's parent firm
New Delhi, July 9 -- In a strategic collaborative move, Meta Platforms Inc., or Meta, takes a minority stake in Ray Ban's parent organization, EssilorLuxottica.
This investment is to the mark of US$ 3.5 billion, accounting to three percent stake.
EssilorLuxottica, headquartered near Paris, is a major brand that designs and sells ophthalmic lenses, prescription glasses, and sunglasses.
Some analysts at Bernstein Research (a joint venture of AllianceBernstein and Societe Generale) pointed out the step of investment taken by Meta as a strong commitment to leverage the opportunities available in the eye care market.
