New Delhi, July 14 -- In a significant move to drive its talent base, Meta confirmed the acquisition of 'PlayAI.' This deal comes after finalization of Meta's ScaleAI deal just a day ago.

PlayAI is a voice research company with a specialization in real-time conversational agents as well as voice interfaces. The platform aims to make voice AI technology more accessible and easily adoptable.

An official spokesperson of Meta confirmed the acquisition but did not disclose the sum paid to the company. The entire PlayAI team will join Meta next week. Reportedly, the entire team will report to Johan Schalkwyk (Voice Lead, Meta Super Intelligence Lab), who recently joined the firm from another voice-based AI startup, Seismic AI.
