Chennai, Aug. 5 -- The Met office today issued heavy rainfall warning for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for the next three days.
In a special bulletin, it said an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal off North Tamil Nadu coast between 1.5 and 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southward with
height.
An East-west trough runs roughly along from Southern parts of Eastcentral Arabian Sea to Central parts of South Bay of Bengal across South Interior Karnataka, North Tamil Nadu and the cyclonic circulation over Southwest Bay of Bengal off North Tamil Nadu coast between 3.1 and 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southward with height.
