New Delhi, Dec. 15 -- Football fever gripped Delhi on Tuesday as Argentine legend Lionel Messi reached the Arun Jaitley Stadium, sending fans into a tizzy on Monday evening.
The presence of two more international super-stars Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suarez, along with Messi, only added to the excitement at the stadium.
As the football legends stepped onto the field, they greeted the Indian players with handshakes and warm smiles, triggering loud cheers, flag-waving and a flurry of phone cameras capturing the historic moment.
The atmosphere turned electric within minutes of their appearance, said onlookers as crowds broke into roars of approval.
