Shimla, Nov. 11 -- The cold tightened its grip over Himachal Pradesh as the state recorded a marginal fall in minimum temperatures ranging between 0.5degC to 1.5degC during the past 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, reported on Tuesday.

The state experienced dry weather, but chilly nights prevailed with mercury dipping in most districts and sub-zero conditions persisting in tribal areas.

Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4degC, slipping by 0.4 degrees, while Manali shivered at 3.7degC. The lowest temperature in the state was reported from Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti at -3.1degC, followed by Tabo (-2.5degC) and Keylong (-2.2degC).
