Bengaluru, Aug. 4 -- Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao today stressed that mental health is not just a medical concern but a national imperative.
"Mental health is fundamental to national productivity and family wellbeing. A mentally healthy citizen is more productive, more stable, and contributes more meaningfully to society," he said, speaking at the inauguration of the Amaha Mental Health Centre in Bengaluru.
The Minister called for mainstreaming mental health within the public health agenda, lauding Amaha Centre for establishing a specialized facility focused on treating a range of psychological conditions.
