Itanagar, July 30 -- Reiterating his commitment to the welfare and dignity of individuals battling mental health challenges, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik today urged NGOs to redouble their efforts toward rehabilitation and reintegration of such persons into society.

"Mental health should no longer be a silent struggle or a social taboo. It must be a shared responsibility," stated the Governor, while acknowledging the growing need for compassionate care and structured support systems for such individuals.

Governor Parnaik made these remarks while extending financial assistance to two key mental health care institutions in the state at a function here.
