Beed, Sept. 10 -- The Maha Vikas Aghadi staged protests at the district level here on Wednesday against the Maharashtra Public Safety Bill, with party leaders and office bearers submitting a memorandum to the District Magistrate.
The demonstration was part of a state-wide agitation held on September 10, opposing the recently passed legislation.
The protesters highlighted that the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly passed the "Maharashtra Public Safety Bill 2024" with a brute majority, noting that although the government brought this law under the pretext of Naxalism, the word "Naxalism" does not appear in the legislation.
