Srinagar, Sept. 18 -- Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti and Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone alleged today that they have been placed under house arrest to prevent them from visiting Sopore to offer condolences on the passing of former Hurriyat Chairman Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat.
Bhat, a 90-year-old moderate Hurriyat leader, died last evening after a brief illness at his home in Sopore's Botengo village and was buried late last night at his native village.
