Shillong, May 6 -- The meeting between the protesting teachers and non-teaching staff of deficit schools and colleges, and the Meghalaya government over the new 2026 centralised fund scheme on Wednesday, ended on an inconclusive note .
Representatives of the Meghalaya College Teachers Association (MCTA) and Khasi Jaintia Deficit Teachers' Association (KJDSTA) walked out of the meeting chaired by Commissioner & Secretary Education department, Vijay Mantri, rejecting the notified Meghalaya Non-Government Schools and Colleges Employees Centralised Fund Scheme, 2026.
