Shillong, Aug. 12 -- Meghalya Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Minister Alexander Laloo Hek has instructed the department to expedite the process of setting up health screening centers for livestock brought from outside the state.
He said the state government has already received sanction from the government of India for the construction of health screening centers for livestock at Narang in Ri-Bhoi district and Nidangpur, Garo Hills.
"I have already instructed my department to expedite the construction process," he said.
