Shillong, Nov. 4 -- Meghalaya Police recovered an unidentified human skeleton from Rachi Forest, Mookyndur village in West Jaintia Hills district, official said on Tuesday.
The skeleton was first discovered by headman of Mookyndur village on October 30, who later alerted the police about the incident.
A police team from Meghalaya Forensic Crime Scene Unit (MFCSU) had examined the site and conducted search for any material evidence, Jagpal Singh Dhanoa, the district police chief of West Garo Hills, said.
At the spot, a red thread, three (3) keys, and one safety pin were found near the skeletal remains.
