Shillong, Oct. 23 -- Meghalaya Police has filed a chargesheet in the rape and murder of a 13-year-old girl at Kalapangti village in Ri Bhoi district, a police official said today.
The chargesheet was filed before the Court of Special Judge of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Adellyne Thangkhiew in Ri-Bhoi district yesterday against the prime accused Iainehskhem Kharsati.
Kharsati was arrested for allegedly raping and murdering a 13-year-old girl on October 9 and her body was recovered by the villagers from a forested area under Mawlasnai Police Outpost jurisdiction.
