Shillong, Jan. 4 -- The Meghalaya Police today dismissed rumours of an explosion in East Jaintia Hills district in December allegedly killing one person and injuring others.
Two viral videos contain visuals showing disturbing images of burn victims in an unknown location is being circulated in the state.
Along with the two videos, there is also a text message saying: "Explosive blasting in Thangsko (Mynsngat) on 23/12/25 two person died which are non-tribal -- one on 23/12/25 and one today 03/01/26."Incidentally, Thangsko or Thangskai village in East Jaintia Hills district is reportedly infamous for illegal coal mining.
