Shillong, Aug. 21 -- Meghalaya Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh today voiced confidence that the state would be able to end drug trafficking, similar to its success in quelling insurgency using its own police force, without taking the assistance of the army or other security forces from outside.

"We either succumb to it or we emerge victorious. We either become victims or we turn out to be victors. I am sure that Meghalaya will turn victorious (in this war against drugs)," Lyngdoh said in a programme where he felicitated eight sleuths of the Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of Meghalaya Police.
