Shillong, March 12 -- A government vehicle allotted to the Meghalaya Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation was set on fire by some unidentified persons in the wee hours of Wednesday, a police official said.
The vehicle was parked on the roadside at Nongmensong Dongkadiang area in Meghalaya's capital Shillong and nobody was injured, the police official said.
"It is suspected to be an arson case. We are in the process of identifying the culprits," Vivek Syiem, the district police chief of East Khasi Hills, said.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case.
