Shillong, Aug. 26 -- The Meghalaya Cabinet has approved the proposal for framing of Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) and grant of one-time age relaxation concerning the recruitment to government sanctioned posts presently occupied by ad hoc appointees appointed after December 31, 2007.
Briefing reporters after chairing the second cabinet retreat in Shillong on Tuesday, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the cabinet's approval was as per the Supreme Court ruling that ad-hoc appointments made before December 31, 2007 could be regularised directly.
