Tura, Nov. 29 -- The Meghalaya government on Saturday held the disbursement ceremony for the second instalment of the Umbrella Post Matric Scholarship for the academic year 2024-25 for students across the State, emphasizing its role in providing educational assistance to the youth in a timely and inclusive manner.

The programme highlighted the State's continuous efforts to improve student opportunities, encourage higher education, and lower financial barriers.

A total amount of Rs. 126.28 crores benefitting 70,683 students was released today in the second instalment.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, congratulated all the students who are receiving their second and final instalment of scholarships.
