Shillong, Aug. 26 -- The Meghalaya government has notified the Chief Minister's Scholarship Scheme (CMSS) 2025, a flagship initiative aimed at promoting higher education, academic excellence, and financial support for students of the State.

Commissioner and Secretary of Education Vijay Kumar Mantri said the scheme will provide financial assistance to students from Class XI up to Ph.D. level, studying in recognised institutions within and outside the state.

Eligible students will receive a fixed annual scholarship of Rs 6,000, disbursed directly into their bank accounts, he said.
