Shillong, Sept. 9 -- The Meghalaya government is actively exploring all avenues for a permanent solution in regard to the status of the 600 meters road from Mawshbuit to Happy Valley as claimed by the Army, Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Public Works Department (Roads), Prestone Tynsong said today.

Replying to a query during the Question Hour in the assembly raised by opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) legislator, Heavingstone Kharpran, Tynsong said the government is persuading the defence authorities to get a stretch of 300 meters, which touches defence land for creating of road.
