Imphal, Oct. 10 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today said that all border disputes should be resolved in a peaceful and cordial manner.
Addressing the media, Sangma said there were about 12 areas of dispute between Assam and Meghalaya, and issues in six of them had already been resolved.
Sangma is on a two-day visit to Manipur to meet NPP leaders and the people.
He further stated that he, along with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, had been making efforts to arrive at an amicable solution to the border disputes. However, he noted that a 52-year-old problem cannot be solved easily.
