Shillong, July 9 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma unveiled and flagged off the three magnificent domestic football - the Durand Cup, the Shimla Trophy and the President's Cup - here on Wednesday.
The 134-year-old Indian Oil Durand Cup football tournament will be hosted in five cities Shillong, Kolkata, Kokrajhar, Jamshedpur and in Manipur's Imphal.
Shillong, which is recognised as a major hub for football in India, is hosting the Durand Cup for the second time in a row.
Defending champions NorthEast United FC have been grouped with local sides Shillong Lajong FC and Rangdajied United FC and one Foreign Services Team in Group E will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.
