Shillong, Dec. 11 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma on Thursday inspected the ongoing construction of Mawkhanu Football Stadium, which is going to be the largest in India, at the New Shillong Township.
State Sports and Youth Affairs minister, Wailadmiki Shylla accompanied the Chief Minister to the construction site.
Sangma said that Mawkhanu Football Stadium will be an iconic structure.
"Meghalaya is a football loving state this structure will be a great incentive and boost to sports especially football sector," the Chief Minister said.
