Shillong, Aug. 5 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today announced that his government has earmarked Rs. 240 crore over the next three years under Floriculture Mission 1.0, with a vision to transform the state into a leading floriculture hub of the Northeast and the country.
Speaking during a visit to Mawkriah village in East Khasi Hills district, Sangma highlighted the mission's goal of turning floriculture into a high-value, climate-resilient, and sustainable livelihood option.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare Minister Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh and NPP legislator, Ronnie Lyngdoh.
