Shillong, Oct. 7 -- Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr. Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari today held a meeting with political parties to discuss preparations for the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the State. During the meeting, political parties were asked to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to assist the Booth Level Officers, verify the voter's details and assist in mapping current constituencies.
He said the last special intensive revision was held in the year 2005 and this electoral roll will be the base year from which the new 2025 SIR will be carried out.
