Shillong, Jan. 16 -- The Meghalaya Cabinet on Friday approved the introduction of Community-Integrated Skill Learning (CISL) as a structured curricular component for students from Classes VI to X.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that CISL aims at bridging classroom learning with real-life skills, enhancing family participation in education, and creating meaningful social impact.
To make Health and Physical Education subjects more meaningful and experiential, Sangma said the content of the two subjects, largely limited to textbooks and theoretical information related to health and physical activities, will now be integrated to CISL.
