Shillong, Oct. 4 -- Four persons, including three minors, died and three were seriously injured after a dumper truck lost control and capsized at Thadrang village in Meghalaya's Ri-Bhoi district, police said.

The accident occurred last evening when a mini dumper truck, proceeding towards Bhoirymbong from Jowai, the district headquarters of West Jaintia Hills, capsised, Vivekanand Singh Rathore, the district police chief of Ri-Bhoi, said.

"The vehicle capsized, causing serious injuries to both the driver and helper. Three people died on the spot, and one more injured person expired this morning. Another person is seriously injured," he informed.
