Meerut, Nov. 22 -- A woman from Banda district attempted suicide by consuming poison inside the Women's Police Station in Meerut on Friday, alleging that authorities failed to act on her earlier complaints.
According to officials, the woman suddenly ingested a poisonous substance while speaking to police staff. A woman constable immediately ran toward her as she collapsed. Seeing her condition worsening, the constable rushed her to the district hospital. After initial treatment, doctors referred her to the medical college for further care.
