Meerut, Nov. 28 -- Social media content creator Shadab Jakati was arrested by the police today following a complaint filed by BJP leader Rahul Thakur, who objected to one of Jakati's recently uploaded videos. Jakati, however, received bail from the SDM Court within nearly an hour and a half of his arrest.
Rahul Thakur, a resident of Jagriti Vihar, accused Jakati of making inappropriate remarks involving a minor girl and a woman in a 1.08-minute video. Thakur filed a complaint at the Inchauli Police Station and also approached the Child Rights Commission and Women's Commission.
According to police, the case was registered under breach of peace, and Jakati was arrested from his home around 4 pm on Thursday. He was produced before SDM Sadar ...
