Meerut, Dec. 24 -- An inspector was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Department while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The accused officer reportedly tried to intimidate the team and asked them to "settle the matter" when he was being taken into custody, but the team was undeterred by the threats and proceeded to arrest him.
A video of the incident has surfaced in which the inspector is seen initially covering his face with his hand, then removing it and walking in a show of authority. The Anti-Corruption team later took him to Kankarkheda police station, where he is currently being interrogated.
