Lucknow, Oct. 25 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphasized strengthening the drug control system in the state to ensure the quality of medicines.

He has directed that the post of District Drug Control Officer be created to further strengthen the workflow at the district level.

The Chief Minister said that the number of drug inspectors should be doubled compared to the current level. To make the selection process for these posts more transparent, fair, and quality-oriented, recruitment will now be done through written examinations instead of interviews.
