Jammu, Sept. 12 -- union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh today said that media acts as an effective bridge between the Government and the people and has a pivotal role in spreading awareness about various government schemes and initiatives.
Dr. Singh was addressing media workshop 'Vartalap' as a Chief Guest, organised by Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Jammu.
Dr. Singh emphasised that the success of welfare programmes in every sector launched by the Government depends largely on how effectively information about these initiatives reaches the intended beneficiaries.
