Mumbai, Oct. 16 -- In a major step toward improving hygiene standards in public healthcare facilities, the Maharashtra government has launched mechanical laundry services across 593 government hospitals in the state.
The initiative aims to ensure clean, sterile, and infection-free environments in all state-run health institutions.
Health Minister Prakash Abitkar inaugurated the modern facility at Swasthya Bhavan on Wednesday, describing the move as a landmark development in hospital hygiene management.
