New Delhi, Dec. 25 -- The Delhi Government is set to launch the 'Atal Canteen' scheme as a major public welfare initiative aimed at providing affordable, hygienic and nutritious meals to residents of the national capital. Under the scheme, people will be able to avail wholesome food at a nominal cost of Rs per meal.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will launch the Atal Canteen at Lajpat Nagar, marking the rollout of the scheme across the city. Simultaneously, Delhi BJP ministers and Members of Parliament will also open Atal Canteens in their respective constituencies, ensuring a coordinated rollout across Delhi.
In the first phase, the scheme will cover 100 locations across the city, starting December 25.
