Agra, April 27 -- An MD student, Dr Vartika Singh, was found dead in her hostel room on Sunday evening at a mental health institute in Agra, police said as authorities suspect that she died by suicide after allegedly consuming an overdose of sleeping pills.
Dr Singh, a resident of Lucknow, had joined the institute on February 22 this year after completing her MBBS. She was living on the first floor of the hostel within the campus.
According to reports, her mother tried calling her multiple times around 11 a.m. on Sunday, but received no response.
