Hyderabad, Oct. 8 -- District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan clarified that political parties must obtain permission from the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) for political campaigns and advertisements related to the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.
Speaking after inaugurating MCMC, Media Center in the CPRO section at the GHMC headquarters on Wednesday, Karnan said that permission should be taken through the MCMC committee for advertisements in electronic media, local cable, social media, e-paper, radio, and other online and electronic media from the release of the election schedule.
