New Delhi, Dec. 24 -- A meeting of the MCD Standing Committee was held on Wednesday chaired by Satya Sharma, during which members held detailed discussions pollution control, the menace of stray animals, transfer of teachers, recognition of private schools and action against illegally operating hotels, bars and restaurants in the national Capital.
The committee deliberated on suggestions put forward by councillors and issued directions to the officials concerned to ensure concrete, time-bound and result-oriented action on all matters discussed.
